Well, another Acoustic Country with Charles is in the books, and I have to say, tonight was a pretty darn good one.

I just wrapped up an hour and a half of playing and singing over on TikTok, and it was great to see so many familiar faces come through the door.
Or, I guess I should say, come through the Wi-Fi.
My TikTok family was out in force tonight, and it was especially good to see Laura, Marcie, Tammy, Nick and Alan hanging out with me. These folks have become more than just names on a screen. They have become part of this little country music family we’ve built over there, and I sure appreciate every one of them.
We also had quite a few new folks stop in tonight, and that’s always exciting. I love seeing new people wander into the show, say hello and hang out for a while. Before long, they’re talking with everybody else like they’ve been there all along.
That’s one of my favorite things about these live shows.
We’re building a close-knit little TikTok family where folks can come in, kick back, listen to some music and feel welcome.
And tonight we had plenty of music.
I played for about an hour and a half, covering a whole bunch of classic country songs, along with a few red dirt tunes thrown in for good measure.
That’s pretty much my kind of evening.
Give me an acoustic guitar, a good country song and some folks willing to listen, and I’m a happy man.
I also got to put the new song request system through its paces tonight. I’ve been working on Sing Us a Song, and tonight was one of the first chances to really try it out during a live show.
It’s pretty slick being able to let folks request songs while I’m playing. Of course, that also means I can’t hide behind the old, “Well, I don’t know that one” excuse quite as easily anymore.
Although I reserve the right to use that excuse when somebody requests something I’ve never heard in my life.
All in all, it was just a fun evening.
Lots of familiar faces.
Lots of new faces.
Lots of country music.
A little red dirt.
A new song request system.
And an hour and a half of doing what I love to do.
That’s a pretty good night in my book.
I’ve included a clip from tonight’s show of me playing “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down.” It’s one of those songs that just fits the way I like to play. Nothing fancy. Just an acoustic guitar, a country song and a little bit of feeling behind it.
Thank you to everybody who stopped by tonight, whether you stayed for the whole show or just popped in for a few minutes.
And if you’re one of the new folks who found your way into the show tonight, welcome to the family.
Pull up a chair.
There’s always room for one more.
I’ll see y’all at the next Acoustic Country with Charles.
Until then, keep the music playing and the coffee hot.
And if somebody asks where you heard about me, just tell ’em you found this old country singer somewhere between a honky-tonk and a Wi-Fi signal.
