Charles W. Smith is a Texas-born country singer-songwriter, acoustic musician, and storyteller known for his deep baritone voice, honest lyrics, and unmistakable Texas soul.
A fourth-generation Texan raised in Tuleta, Texas, Charles grew up surrounded by the people, places, and stories that would eventually shape his music. His sound draws from the traditional country legends he grew up listening to, blending classic country, Texas country, red dirt, and heartfelt original songwriting with the raw simplicity of an acoustic guitar.
Whether performing a familiar country classic or one of his own songs, Charles believes a good song should tell a story, stir a memory, or make you feel something. His performances are intimate and unpolished in the best possible way—just a voice, a guitar, and a lifetime of stories behind the songs.
Known to many as “The Tuleta Troubadour,” Charles performs live both in person and online through his popular shows, including Acoustic Country with Charles and Coffee & Country with Charles. His repertoire spans the music of artists such as George Strait, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Keith Whitley, Don Williams, Cody Jinks, and many more, alongside his growing collection of original songs.
From traditional country ballads and Texas dancehall favorites to songs written from the heart, Charles W. Smith brings a genuine, down-to-earth approach to country music—keeping the spirit of the old songs alive while adding a little bit of his own story along the way.
Real songs. Real stories. Real country.
